So church weddings are definitely a love language for me.  They are timeless and classic.  The room just seems to fill with love and dedication – a young couple choosing to make it known that they are in this for the long haul.

Sweet Abby had her ceremony planned for her home church, the same church her mom and dad were married in.  Well you all know how I love when something is so special and sentimental as that.  Abby got ready in the same room her mom did as a young bride and walked down the aisle to Aaron just like her mom did years ago.  It was so beautiful and emotional.

The reception was planned to take place at her parent’s home.  They had worked so hard to make everything beautiful.  On the morning of, due to all the rain, the water was ankle deep at the house.  Abby was heartbroken.  But when you have a tribe behind you, there is nothing to worry about.  Also, small town living is amazing.  A few phone calls were made, and a true last-minute change of venue was made.  They did such an amazing job converting a restaurant into a reception hall.  It still showed Abby’s style and was the perfect spot for her Cinco de Mayo reception. P.S.  A Mexican buffet at your wedding is totally a great idea.

So with all of that, you would think Aaron and Abby would have been stressed out and a mess.  Not so.  They were calm and peaceful.  I’m pretty sure nothing could have stopped this day from happening.  When two people are meant for each other the way Abby and Aaron are, the earth could shake and they would still be firmly planted.  After meeting their families, I quickly saw that the firm foundation they now have is due to the firm foundation they both came from.  It’s the story fairy tales are made of and little girls dream of.

I always have so much I want to share, and when I go to type these blog posts, I have the hardest time narrowing down my thoughts, emotions, and experiences from the day.  How am I supposed to share the beauty of the couple’s day in a few paragraphs?  It’s simply not possible.  Photos can do that though.  Photos share the love of family, the legacy of the family, with the matriarch there at the helm.  Photos are heirlooms of their legacy beginning and the story it holds.
