November brought two brides planning their weddings in 2 months. Today, I want to share Zach & Angela’s wedding with you. Angela’s sister uses me for her families milestone photos and urged her sister to contact me. I am so so so happy she did.
When Angela and I spoke she just wanted to make sure I knew how important her family is to her and the photos of their relationship and how close they are was very important. Of course this made me love her and want to be a part of such a special day! Not to mention, she has the most adorable little boy.
It really was the sweetest day. When I arrived Angela was getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite by herself. She said she was enjoying the peace of the morning and so ready to marry Zach. Soon after I arrived her Mom and sister arrived to help get her in her dress and ready to see Zach for their first look.
Then came the first look! At first Angela stopped and was so emotional she wasn’t sure if she could do the first look. I took her hand and reminded her to breathe. As I did that, she just took a step and off she went with me running ahead to capture her first look of Zach and his of her. It was one of the most beautiful moments I have witnessed. Zach could not hide the tears that came the moment he saw his bride to be. Oh my sweet friends, that was not the best moment. The best was when we brought in their sweet boy for his first look of Mom and Dad. Oh the tears that streamed from all of our faces. We actually stopped shooting for a moment to give everyone a second to regroup and prepare for portraits. Friends, this right here is what photography is all about. This moment being captured forever to share with the world how much they mean to each other.
I would be lying if I said large extravagant weddings were my favorite. Truth is, the ones with the focus on the couple, no matter the extravagance of the décor, is my favorite. Each person there solely to support and encourage the couple on the next chapter in their life. And I mean, when you have a son this adorable, who gets a little scared when everyone in attendance whispers “awee” as he walks in, how can you not be in love with the beauty of small intimate wedding.
And finally I want to share that even on a cold windy day when the couple trusts me and follows me outside I promise you will only look back and see the love of your family and the fun you had on your big day.
