Styled Shoot | Waterfall Bridals | Mount Pleasant, TN
Winter is hard on creatives. Well at least it is for me. I need to be outside. I need warm sunshine on my face. I need to be inspired. Tennessee winters tend to be just dreary. Everything is dead, and rarely do we get snow that makes everything appear so magical and beautiful.
With the winter blues setting in and a friend reminding me I hadn’t shot for fun in nearly two years, I started to plan. We had been having colder temperatures than normal. So naturally I thought let’s take a bride to a frozen waterfall. Less than a week later I had 4 other amazing girl bosses teamed up to make this dream shoot a reality. Hair, makeup, florals, and even jewelry were all in place and all created by these amazing women. A shoot only dreamed up in my imagination was going to come to life. The weather had turned colder and the fall had frozen to a solid sheet of ice. The excitement just kept building. Naturally in true TN fashion we would have a random 60 degree day just two days before our shoot. The fall was no longer frozen solid. Nothing was going to stop us from having an amazing shoot. Skylar and I both prayed hard for icicles. God heard our prayers we not only had icicles but snow. I would end up driving down a day early due to an ice storm and snow coming in.
Day of the shoot arrives. The high would be 20 degrees. Our excitement was so high the adrenaline was pumping. Skylar did more than the 30 minutes I requested and powered through the cold for an hour. This girl is the definition of hard work and ambition. This entire shoot would not have been this incredible without her.
As you look through these I want you to think about the five amazing women who came together with their incredible talents to make something so beautiful, and for me, powerful. I hope you will follow each of them and show them some love.
